Consider adopting a Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Laurel, Mississippi (The “City”), approving the employment of professionals in connection with the issuance of refunding bonds of the City, in one or more series, in a to be determined principal amount to raise money for the purpose of defeasing and refunding the City’s debt including, but not limited to , all or a portion of the City’s $10,000,000 General Obligation Bonds, Series 2015, dated December 10, 2015, the City’s $4,400,000 General Obligation Bonds, Series 2016, dated April 14, 2016, and all or a portion of the City’s State Revolving Fund Loans, and for other related purposes as authorized under Mississippi Code Ann. Sections 31-27-1 et seq., or Sections 31-15-1 et se4q., as amended and supplemented from time to time, including paying for the cost of such borrowing; and for related purposes.
